Our electronics shade light- why can’t our everyday lights do the same?

“Light is one of the most important external factors that can affect sleep- it does... by influencing the timing of our internal clock (circadian rhythm) and thereby affecting our preferred sleep time”

Initial foam core model taught me:

  1. Reflector wasn’t large enough to light retail spaces

  2. Light can’t project directly downward

  3. Needs to be able to adjust with one hand

One-Handed Adjustment

One-handed adjustment allows the user to ‘point and shoot’ the fixture to make lighting spaces that often transform, like storefronts and displays, a breeze. The large range of motion comes from the ball joint which remains locked until side tabs release the grip, allowing for simple repositioning, the mechanism being similar to a reverse bike-brake.

Day-Synced Lighting

Adjustable light shading guides you through your day with atmospheres. Morning lends a cool blue to promote being alert and awake, midday is a pale white, and night wraps you in a warm hue to lull you to sleep. These cycles help promote a healthy circadian rhythm in both retail and residential spaces.

JUNO Lighting Feedback

“Lots of companies don’t have a need for a fully functioning electrical board, so the simple mechanics are a nice touch”

“The weight placement is great”

“The ball joint makes a lot of sense because it would be holding up the lightest parts of the fixture”
